Who still uses mph?
Only a handful of countries sign speeds in mph: the UK and the US, plus the Bahamas, Belize, Samoa and some British territories. Ireland went metric in 2005 — crossing from Northern Ireland (mph) into the Republic (km/h) switches systems mid-journey, which is why rentals there usually show both scales.
