2. Overview
routefare.eu is a static information website. There are no user accounts, no contact forms and no booking function; we store no personal master data ourselves. Personal data arises only for technical reasons when pages are retrieved (see below).
3. Hosting & server log files
This website is hosted by a service provider. On access, the host automatically collects log data in server log files: IP address, date and time, requested URL, data volume transferred, referrer and user agent.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, trouble-free operation). Logs are stored for a limited time for security reasons and then deleted.
4. Maps (OpenStreetMap)
On the distance pages we embed map tiles from OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom). When the map loads, your IP address is transmitted to OpenStreetMap’s servers so the tiles can be delivered.
We additionally fetch the road geometry of the route from an OSRM routing service; your IP address is transmitted to that server as well.

5. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21 GDPR). Any consent given can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.
To exercise your rights, an informal message to kontakt@routefare.eu suffices. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
